Stainless Steel 418 Circles consist mainly of iron, chromium (12–14%), nickel, and molybdenum with controlled carbon, manganese, and silicon additions. Martensitic stainless steel alloy has good mechanical strength, hardness, and average corrosion resistance. It can be heat-treated to improve its tensile and yield strength without losing much toughness. The alloy has excellent wear resistance and dimensional stability with changing stress and temperatures, making it an ideal candidate for severe applications where durability and resistance to failure are of primary importance.
